Imotski, grad u Dalmatinskoj zagori, na padini sjeveroisto- čnog krškog oboda Imotskog polja. Tvrđava i grad, smješteni na obronku brda Podi, dobili su ime po staroj župi Imota iz X. st.
Na klisuri iznad Modroga jezera je tvrđava iz srednjovjekovnog i turskog doba. Na ulazu u tvrđavu je crkva iz XVIII. st., podignuta nakon odlaska Turaka. Franjevački samostan iz 1738. pregrađen je u prošlom stoljeću.

Auf der Spitze des Kraters über den Modrog See ist die Festung die aus dem Mittelalter und aus der Türkischen Herrschafftszeit stammt. Im Eingang der Festung wurde eine Kirche aus den XVIII Jahrhundert erbaut, gleich nach den Rückzug der Türken. Der Franziskaner Kloster aus 1738 wurde im lezten Jahrhundert dazugebaut.
